JOB DESCRIPTION AND JOB EVALUATION

Guarantee high quality job descriptions, learn the principles of the Hay method and the evaluation criteria and use them as a tool in HR management

OBJECTIVES • To guarantee high-quality job descriptions following the SG Group model • To provide daily support to managers in the job description process • To be able to take part in Job Evaluation Committees and be at home with the principles and evaluation criteria of the Korn Ferry Hay Group method • To communicate correctly the outcomes of the Job Evaluation Committee to managers and employees • To adopt the Hay methodology as a tool for HR management of executives

PARTICIPANTS

HR Professionals (including junior HR) and Senior Managers using the Korn Ferry Hay Group method to evaluate jobs (final registration after validation)

PROGRAMME

• Why is job description necessary and on which HR processes does it impact? • What is a job description and how is it written? Principles, templates, contents, actors, collection of the relevant information, specific vocabulary • Why evaluate positions? Why use the K.F. Hay Group’s method? - Concepts and fundamentals, analysis and job balance criteria - Job evaluation process at SG: actors, instances and key steps of the evaluation - Potential difficulties and how to avoid them • Communication method and position classes with managers and executives Teaching techniques: presentation of concepts, group and individual workshops, exercises, case studies

• 2 days • Face-to-face course • 10 participants • completion of an e-Learning module, successful completion of job description & job evaluation exercises, satisfaction questionnaire
