INTEGRATING EHS IN THE INNOVATION PROCESS This seminar looks at how EHS aspects are to be taken into account in the innovation process in line with Saint-Gobain requirements. This concerns the development of new products and processes and focuses especially on the EHS checklist.

OBJECTIVES
• To understand the importance of analysing EHS risks when launching new products or processes, and during the life cycle of products • To be familiar with the basics on toxic products and the corresponding legislation • To use external and internal tools, especially the EHS checklist, in the innovation process, when managing R&D projects. PARTICIPANTS R&D project leaders and engineers (who don’t participate in the “R&D Project Leader” course). Persons developing new products or processes. Internal EHS correspondents and EHS coordinators.

N.B.: This training has been included in the “R&D project leader” seminar since 2013 • Context and challenges for Saint-Gobain • Fundamentals in toxic products and risks; regulatory basics • Use of Saint-Gobain tools (S’Base and EHS checklist) • Introduction to the eco-innovation toolbox

Teaching techniques: case study applying the tools presented
