EFFECTIVE LEADER SERIES I This course is explicitly designed to enrich your existing leadership abilities while learning new strategies for success. Specifically targeted to those in supervisory roles, ELSI provides the essential skills you need as a Supervisor, whether it’s your first time or you have been leading people for some time. Basics of Leadership topics feature diversity and inclusion, communication and giving direction, prioritization, time management and delegation, all wrapped within Saint-Gobain Attitudes. The Fit to Lead face-to-face portion of the training folds in even more essential offerings such as the path to people leader, characteristics of high performance teams, learning your own behavior and leadership styles, meeting effectiveness, teamwork, coaching for effective performance management, emotional intelligence and conflict resolution, and how you can influence without authority. This training continues with the direct support of a trainer during Mobile Leadership Coaching, Reflective Leadership and a Leadership Capsule. You will leave this experience equipped with new and enhanced learning as well as the confidence and expertise needed to further your career development at Saint-Gobain!

OBJECTIVES

• Network while learning critical skills with other people leaders within Saint-Gobain • Understand your transition from individual contributor to people leader • Explore your role as a supervisor and learn strategies to build up individual performers as well as high performance teams • Learn and identify your leadership style and how to best use it to leverage success • Identify and demonstrate best practices for time management, delegation, and effective meeting strategies • Apply your personal communication styles to enhance your emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills • Learn how to influence without authority to communicate team needs and successes throughout the Saint-Gobain leadership community • Integrate leadership concepts with real business needs, goals, and actions
