EFFECTIVE LEADER SERIES II The Effective Leader Series II (Management Development-North America). The process of becoming a leader is a rigorous and rewarding journey of sustained learning and self- development. Effective Leader Series II is part of Saint-Gobain’s commitment to ensure that People Leaders have the opportunity and resources to strengthen and fine-tune their skills. The program will help People Leaders accelerate their management know- how; and define the challenges of learning to lead. Themes include being a capable people leader, managing change and expectations, goal setting, building high performing teams, and supporting and achieving improvement, particularly in the creation of initiatives, plans, processes and actions to achieve business and organizational goals. This course will be a blended learning experience spanning 5 months with 2 live sessions. Between the live sessions there will be WebEx programs and E-learnings for People Leaders to improve many different skills related to management and personal development.
OBJECTIVES
• Differentiate the multiple roles between that of a manager and leader • Determine what it means to be an effective Saint-Gobain manager and leader • Identify personal management and leadership styles • Investigate fundamental managerial and leadership competencies • Integrate current management and leadership concepts with real business needs, goals and actions
